The Shop of Infinite Possibilities is undergoing a lot of changes. Formerly known as The Shop of Infinite Curiosities, our new location at Rio West Mall in Gallup, New Mexico now features new items and more art. The smaller location is getting back to basics right off of I-40 and in the hub of Native American culture. We’re working on bringing the weird and unusual to a new demographic.
Our store still has yellow walls offering a lighter-brighter and welcoming environment. But we’d like to think we are getting away from being just a retail store and heading more towards our authentic creative selves. This tiny location and slower pace are perfect for a new lifestyle for us as we begin our journey as a partnership and couple.
The new store still features: paintings, hand-made jewelry, sculptures, and hand-painted masks. Our thoughtfully selected retail (non-handmade) items are influenced by early collections such as Cabinets of Curiosities favoring the unusual, learning, and traveling. We aim to offer a gallery atmosphere with gift shop prices.
While we are expanding our business to online, galleries, and working on doing new and different things, we urge you to visit the shop in person, if you can.
Gallup is a kind and friendly little town that’s sometimes had a bad rep due to its ability to resist gentrification. We love Gallup the way it the way it is–we just want to bring a bit of weird and joy. Whenever possible, in-person prices have a built in community-discounting so that it can be more accessible to locals, and also so you may be inclined to visit us and this town, generate a little income for other local businesses, and see it’s charm for yourself.
